After learning that their luxurious Los Angeles mansion had significant water damage and a mould infestation that made it “virtually unlivable,” Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas reportedly had to vacate the property. This was revealed by Page Six. The pair are now involved in a legal dispute with the $20 million mansion’s sellers, alleging that they concealed these problems prior to the sale.
The couple bought the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence in 2019; it includes a chef’s kitchen, home theater, spa, bowling alley, and temperature-controlled wine cellar, among other amenities. But water damage and the ensuing mold development soon turned their dream house into a nightmare.
A May 2023 lawsuit claims that issues with the pool and spa started shortly after the acquisition. According to reports, poor waterproofing caused “mould contamination and related issues,” which could have been harmful to the inhabitants’ health. A different water leak in the barbeque area is also mentioned in the complaint.
From the sellers, Chopra and Jonas are requesting “consequential damages” that will pay for the estimated $1.5 million to $2.5 million (about Rs 13 to 20 crores) in repairs as well as compensation for annoyance and lost use of the property.
Priyanka, Nick, and their daughter Malti Marie have temporarily moved to a different address while their home is being repaired. Their primary base is in Los Angeles, even if their work commitments require them to travel frequently.
In terms of his career, Nick just gave his first Jonas Brothers performance in India. Additionally, he and King worked together on the song “Maan Meri Jaan.” While Priyanka hasn’t acted in a Hindi movie since 2019, she is set to star in Heads of State, a Hollywood production starring John Cena and Idris Elba. The film’s production hasn’t started despite being announced for Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
